Convertidor MP3 is a Windows utility that lets you convert audio and video files.

Many people today have to deal with multiple devices: smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and so on. These devices often have different format requirements, so the media we own will not even work on all of them by default. That is what makes a conversion utility so handy, and Convertidor MP3 is an excellent option that converts audio and video files across a wide range of formats.

Convertidor MP3 sets it to be very easy to use, and it does a wonderful job in that regard. This is evident with the installation and setup. The program installs with little user interaction, and if you are someone who does not know what a codec or a container is, then you do not have to worry. This program will get all of the most common options configured and ready to go from within the app.

By default, Convertidor MP3 exists as a dialog window. There is no option for full screen or resizing of any kind, but perhaps that simplified the UI design. The UI design is quite good. All of the features you will use most often are access via image buttons at the top of the program. Features that are more seldom used are access through either file or context menus. Integrated help and visual cues are all over the place so that learning the app and then getting the most out of it should come to you easy.

Not only does Convertidor MP3 convert but it lets you trim your creations and merge them. The number of files that you can merge into one is limited only by the OS and your machine. Some conversions—particularly with video—can be intense. A nice touch with Convertidor MP3 is that you can set the number of cores it uses. Conversion will not be as fast this way, but you can have it working in the background while you surf the Web or do whatever.

You can set an output folder as a default or on a per-batch basis. The program also supports profiles. Have a particular profile for your MP3s and another for your MP4s. If you use this program a lot, this will save you a lot of time down the round.

There are some issues with the program. It is Spanish only and support for other languages was never added. Another issue is that the trial version limited you to 3 minutes at a time. If you have a song longer than 3 minutes, then you will need to upgrade to the paid version to use it.
